The Heggs House of HorroR

The Heggs House of Horror to be the FEATURE of an upcoming documentary!

Every town has one. You know - the house that sends a shiver (and a shudder) down your spine. There is such a house in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn area - The Heggs House of Horror!  For nearly two decades for those who dare (trick & treaters beware!), it has become the Halloween destination in the nation. So much so that ABC TV’s nationally televised “Good Morning America “deemed it one of the top five best residential displays in the USA! What once was a local phenomenon known only to inhabitants of Northeastern Ohio has now been seen coast to coast.

For years, mysteries, myths and legends would surround the origins of this hair raising Halloween Hullabaloo and its creator, the “Master of Scare-o-monies,” Luther Heggs! But one thing is certain; the fans of the Hegg’s display are legion and number in the thousands. And yes they do shudder and shiver but not in fear or terror (well, maybe a little), but in anxious anticipation as to what new spine tingling display will come to life (so to speak) at the holy grail of Halloween displays on October 30 & 31st.

You never know who (or what) they’ll be digging up for 2011. Last years Halloween Monster Mash Bash had nearly 40 characters and displays including: Meat Dress Mama – Lady Ga-Ghost, The Munsters - Eddie, Herman & Grandpa in his solid gold coffin mobile – the Dragula , Phantom-“O”- tinkling the ivories, along with the Bony Boy backup band, Cousin It doin’ a little shimmy & shakin alongside Ol’ Tongue Boy-Gene “Kiss” Simmons on phantom bass ! Not to mention, “The King” and his former son-in-law Michael J.! Also in the shadows is our favorite holiday cut-up Freddie Krueger! And don’t worry, you won’t be lonely – there always seems to be more than enough vampires, ghosts & goblins around to keep you company. Just watch your neck! As always, it’s fun, it’s free and it’s always a scream!!
